White House Denounces 'Democrat Fabrication' as Additional Jeffrey Epstein Images Made Public
House Democrats have published a additional set of what they described as "disturbing" pictures from the estate of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including among others Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and ex-UK prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The first release of 19 images—a portion of which have been previously circulated—along with another 70 unveiled later on Friday constitute a small number of the almost 100,000 images handed over to the House investigative panel, which is examining the conduct and connections of Epstein.
The shamed investor died by an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York prison cell in 2019 after being accused of sex-trafficking charges.
High-Profile Individuals in the Photos
Among the high-profile individuals seen in the first release are public figures such as movie maker Woody Allen; Microsoft creator Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, originator of the Virgin business group.
Donald Trump is featured in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is photographed with six women, whose faces are obscured.
Administration Statement
The White House reacted to the release in a statement, alleging Democrats of selectively "cherry-picking" the photographs for electoral motives and to "attempt to fabricate a false storyline."
"The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked," an administration official said, insisting that "this presidency has accomplished more for Epstein's survivors than Democrats ever have by consistently demanding disclosure, disclosing reams of documents, and demanding more inquiries into Epstein's liberal connections."
Congressional Democrat Comment
The photos were published without context, but as stated by a Democratic representative from California and ranking member of the oversight committee, they raise more questions about Epstein's connections to wealthy individuals.
"Now is the occasion to stop this White House obfuscation and deliver justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he said in a comment.
The release of these images occurs alongside the House panel continuing its probe into the Epstein matter.
