The former president's Granddaughter Receives Professional Guidance from Tiger Woods Before LPGA Debut
The rising star boasts impressive online audience
Kai Trump can count on multiple high-profile supporters when she begins her professional golf debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to a former US president, was granted a tournament invitation to compete at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
The former president, someone who loves golf, owns numerous golf courses and frequently matches against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I can't say much but we play tight competitions," she stated.
Kai explained that Trump, unable to come, advised her: "Just stay calm."
"He practically suggested to compete and have fun," she added.
"To me, he's simply a regular grandfather. He won't be there this weekend. He's busy with world affairs, making him rather occupied."
While still amateur, Kai has participated in a mere three competitions this year and holds position 461 in AJGA listings.
However she can get advice from golf legend, in a relationship with her mother.
"He represents the best player globally," Kai expressed.
"And he's a superior human being. He advised me to compete, have fun, adapting to the flow."
The golfer will compete against multiple most prominent players in the sport at the competition, including second-ranked the champion, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers mentioned that her participation brings golf to new audiences, especially with the next generation.
The social media influencer has substantial online presence and has started an exclusive fashion and living label.
Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
